Beautiful setting and great facilities. Breakfast staff very good. Concierge staff were a bit hit and miss

Aged property although rooms are generally well maintain. Old facilities small pools, NO beach access even though on beachfront. large gym wide breakfast spread but far from the city

We have booked this property confident in the brand and looking forward to a relaxing and high end stay, but it turns out to be simply abysmal. To begin with, the marketing is completely deceiving and indeed so inaccurate, better described as false advertising. The images portrays a well maintained and new establishment, when in fact is the complete opposite. Tiles missing on pool, carpet stained in lobby entrance, walls in the room ruined/dirty, swimming towels ripped &/or stained, terrace chairs ruined (see pictures) etc. Whilst it is described as “Shangri La Rasa” there are in fact two hotels within the establishment: La Rasa Garden & Wing - be aware guests are treated completely different. If you happen to have booked at the Garden, you are treated like a second class guess. Good luck in having a good night sleep! For some inexplicable reason, there are a couple of (kind of) musicians, singing until past midnight to an empty audience every night. During our stay we complained for the lack of rest and we were told it was an event and they could not do much about it. Completely lied to us, didn’t even apologise or try to mitigate the situation. To make things worse, one night at 1:23 am the telephone rang shortly after having managed to fall asleep, to be asked by reception “have you ordered some tea?”. We brought a complaint forward to the manag,ent explaining all the above and absolutely no attempt were made to apologies for the horrendous stay. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!

The staff are genuinely the friendliest and most professional. The hotel grounds are immaculate and food and drink superb.
