When we arrived the staff were very friendly, we had already checked in online but were informed the system was new and they were just getting used to it. No problems with the check in process and we were up in our room very swiftly with great instructions from the staff. Got into our room to realise that only 2 of the 3 required beds had been assembled and made up. I went down to reception to inform them of this and they said they would send someone up whilst we were out getting something to eat. We arrived back 2 hours later to the bed still not being assembled and we had 2 kids who were ready for their beds. Another trip down to reception and they sent someone up within 5-10 minutes and she assembled the bed for us. We booked a family room, sadly this was situated at the front of the property. Not far from the entrance to the pub but also was very close to bars nearby. Unfortunately, the nearby bars were very noisy until about 3.30am which disrupted our sleep considerably. Apart from that, the room was as expected for the price. No concerns really. Not sure if there are any other family rooms in the hotel but surely these would be better in the quieter rooms at the back over the hotel.

Cheap, dated, would be ok if the wifi was sorted
A very basic , dated hotel as soon as you get past reception area . Plus points , good , free parking , very nice reception staff. Comfortable bed, decent size TV . Negative , next to no wifi anywhere other than downstairs , which is ok, but say so in the add . And certainly don’t have in room cards bragging free wifi. General condition and decor very much , crossroads motel from the 80’s . Anyone else remember seeing an ashtray built into a lift ?? Shower is a mixer tap so either going to freeze or melt your skin off when someone else in the hotel flushes …

We had a good stay.Bit noisy with people coming out of pubs shouting plus church clock sounding out every hour.Had a bath but couldnt pull plug out as the chain wasnt attached to it but cleaner managed to pull it out with pliers.Would stay there again though as it is very convenient for pubs restaurants and shops.
