The TRYP hotel is located within walking distance of Times Square so that was extremely convenient. Plenty of good food options locally and the police station next door is a nice safety feature.
The hotel room floor was filthy! Since it wasn't carpet, a mop would be needed and it looks like a mop had not been used in... maybe ever. Absolutley gross. Left over food from who knows when was left in the refrigerator. The two bathrooms were also filthy. We wiped the room down with disinfectant wipes before we did anything else. The kids socks were black with filth.
The parking garage the hotel recommends and which you can pay for at the front desk is potentially more expensive than if you went straight through the garage itself and didn't tell them you were staying at TRYP. Do your research, I'm sure you can get a cheaper rate elsewhere.

The main issue I had was that the walls between rooms are paper thin so if your neighbors make any noise it's difficult to sleep.

The rooms were great! So much space and modern. Great bathroom and shower. Location itself wasn’t the best but perfect if you have an event at MSG.

The major problems with our stay included cleanliness and disorganization. We had to ask multiple times about cleaning up dog hair found in our room even though someone was coming in to clean daily. We were charged multiple times for different amounts with no clear indication as to why the charges were being deducted when they were. A simple service that we appreciate them for offering, holding our bags, made us uneasy all day due to the lack of secure holding for our personal items. We will not be staying in this hotel again but we do hope that these things can be addressed and rectified so no one else has the same experience.
