In the city centre, the b kyoto shijo is in Kyoto's Central Kyoto neighbourhood, an area with good shopping. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Philosopher's Walk and Lake Biwa, while Kyoto Aquarium and Toei Kyoto Studio Park are popular area attractions. Shinsenen and Kyoto Municipal Zoo are also worth visiting.
Lovely hotel with extraordinary staff. One staff member called us a cab then stood outside in the cold until we were safely on our way. Tried to encourage them to go back into get warm but they stayed until we left. Room was comfortable and shower was fabulous.
OK. Expensive for what it was but that is Japan. Good location for seeing central sights.
Lovely hotel. Close to many good bars and restaurants. A good 30 minute walk to the Nishi market & Gion. 2 minutes to buses & if using JR pass, bus stop around the corner. Free coffee in the lobby.
