    The hotel is very close to the JR Kyoto station, subway station, bus and taxi stand. Staff at the front desk and concierge speak good English and are very helpful. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Our rooms face the JR train/shinkansen tracks so we can hear the trains all night. It's not that loud and no one in our group has a problem with the noise, but it might be a problem for some people.

      Great experience, convenient location, a little hard to find when I arrived. Not sure what the JPY 200 per day room tax they charged was about. Not a big amount but I found it unusual.

      Very modern rooms, seems to be recent remodeled. The open-air central lobby when viewed from the glass-paned walkway to the rooms is just stunningly beautiful. However bathroom blower only turns on when you sit on the throne. You have to figure out yourself how to get the poop smell out afterwards. Whoever designed the blower system should be made to commit sudoku.
