Not in isolation.
Despite being located uphill, it is not isolated at all. Still very close to the beach, church, money transfers, shops, dines. The hotel is very clean, safe, peaceful, has complete good working amenities, great staff, and most of all a speedy wifi!

Great potential, dirty execution.
The good: room was spacious and had nice views. AC was old school and noisy but worked quite well. Beds were comfortable. The bad: Very dirty and apparently no attempt to clean the room during our 4 night stay unless we asked. Rooms really need a deep cleaning. Shower didn’t drain and plumbing in general was sub par. WiFi present but had no connectivity (didn’t work for me at all). Last but not least, a little hard to find and steep uphill walk (3minutes). Some tricycles won’t make it up the hill and you have to walk.

A hidden treasure in Boracay
Really enjoyed my stay at the Cliffhouse. Great location close to station 1 beach. Easy access to private and public forms of transportation and within walking distance of station 2 D'Mall. The hotel also has a nice pool. The only thing that might bother some people is the hill on the walk up. Aside from that I love the place and will be looking at this hotel for future Boracay visits.

The hotel is so hard to find, But once you find it. It's pleasant. Rooms are clean, Staff are hard to find. I did not use the pool.

You DON'T get what you pay for.
When I arrived, nobody was at the hotel "front" desk, it was around 6 PM. I had to walk around to see if someone was around to help me check in. After finding someone, and a couple of tries opening the door to our room, I find that there wasn't a phone in the room, wi-fi didn't work in the room, only outdoors (but we didn't want to be bitten by mosquitoes), hot water wasn't working, the soup that was there looked questionable. I was meeting up with my cousin on the island but without a phone, she couldn't reach me. Fortunately, she found my hotel 10-15 mins after I had arrived or else she wouldn't have known if I had gotten there or not. My cousin worked for Expedia, so she told me that Expedia sometimes find an alternative hotel if it doesn't meet expectations. I ended up still paying for that night and went to another hotel nearby.
