Very nice rooms

Posted 02 11, 16 on Hotels
It was very pleasant. Food stalls and wet market very nearby. A bit far from MRT, but bike taxies, tuk tuks, and taxies were readily available for a short ride to Robinson's mall. There were a few incidents with Wifi, but overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Terrible location

Posted 08 5, 15
Everything was okay except the location! It is very difficult to leave the hotel by walking at night as there are many street dogs around. I would recommend anyone to book a hotel at a more central location if you don't want to spend money on taxi fares.

Correct value for price

Posted 01 8, 15 on Hotels
I was checked into the wrong room and had to change rooms upon returning. Depending on room your may or may not have a safety deposit box and even if you have one it may not work. When I went into my second room it had not been cleaned properly as there was someone's shaved hair all over the counter of the bathroom sink. The most helpful person at reception is Miss Izzaree. Air condition in room 615 is really loud as was the fridge. It is correct value for the price of the room. Breakfast is no longer served.

Nice hotel, but shabby

Posted 12 30, 14
Pros: Staff
Cons: Newer furnishings, especially the bedding
Location: In an old neighborhood with not much around. Robinson's is a difficult walk away, probably 20 minutes.
Hotel itself is nice enough, but the owner scrimped on furnishings and supplied rooms with old, used furniture and a cheap mattress with a rag for a top cover. Open drains in bathroom, wouldn't even shower there. Balcony was wonderful, but owner supplied no balcony furnishings. Large fridge, but an old, small t/v with few channels. The only saving grace about this hotel is the staff, they were very nice. Also, lobby was lovely but furnished with old, torn, shabby furniture that didn't go with hotel décor.

Clean and good value

Clean rooms, but poor English knowledge and a bit difficult to find for taxi drivers. Good breakfast.

A Grade

It was a really nice to spend 5 nights in CNR. It was little annoying to have wifi access password changing every morning. But overall it was a comfortable stay there. Next time if I come to Bangkok, I would like to stay again in CNR.
