Had a non smoking room. The smell of smoke in the room was so bad it burn our eyes. Will not stay here again

There was not even complimentary coffee. The owners kept reminding us that checkout was at ten- even in the evening and at 8 am when we saw them.
The place is not clean at all and there was a lot of broken and missing items. We took pics of them

The motel was outdated. Some of the in room amenities were not working. It was a beautiful area and we love visiting Stockbridge.

I would reccomend this place for summer only. In winter it is cold so cold that I had to use my own sleeping bag under their covers. Ironically I took this cheap place because in my own house nearby the hot water boiler has broken down.
Their thermostats were unresponsive, the heater in the bathroom was on constantly, old and ineffective. To take a shower I needed to close the bathroom and run the hot water until the room was like a schwitzbad.

I was originally placed in a room with one bed, which is not the one I reserved, but that was ok, since it was only me, however, the room was cold and I was asked to plug in an oscillating heater to heat the room. It was about 5 inches in diamater and maybe 30 inches high. I did so, then went to eat. After I'd returned I waited a bit and the room was still cold. At that point, I called the office and they moved me into the room I was originally supposed to have and I suppose they controlled the heat, because it actually got too hot. Upon waking I went to check out and realized breakfast is only two days a week (on the weekends) there and outside the office was a coffee pot and some cups. I dropped my keys off and left. I'll choose another location if I ever need to stay in that area again.
