Was in a room across from service/staff door. Slammed throughout day and night. Front desk attendant was rude and made zero eye contact, treated me differently from other guests he interacted with. I think due to my skin color. I also believe he gave me the undesirable room bc of this as well. If contacted I do have his description.

A fantastic hotel. From check in thru check out everything was top notch. The staff was fantastic. Is pricey but well worth it. Was easy getting around and right across from the White House. Definitely stay there and historical

This property is *perfectly* located to immerse yourself and explore Washington DC - step out the front entry, turn left for a lovely view of the Capitol. Turn right and cross the street to line up for a White House tour. Short walk to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the Tidal Basin. There is a restaurant in the hotel for a nice breakfast before hitting the streets to soak in the sights, plus many additional options in the surrounding area. The room was very quiet, but the hotel can be busy and occasionally filled with Secret Service as it was upon our arrival and once again during our stay. Proximity to the White House makes it a popular place for visiting dignitaries and high profile events. Going through airport-type security after being hustled in a side door wasn’t quite the welcome we expected at this lovely property, but we understood the need. Housekeeping was super efficient and the room was tidied up in short order every day, even if we only left for a couple of hours. All in all, we’d be happy to stay here again. Be sure to check out the afternoon tea!
