property and room was 10/10, great views, lots of fun activities, fine dining(seriously), peaceful environment gets you in vacation mode as soon as you step foot on property

*disclaimer* as a hotel guest, you have to pay a $48 resort fee( tax) as well as $48 parking fee, with no other options for parking. Upon checking in, we were given a key card that we were told would allow access in and out of the self-parking lot. Mind you, there are no other options for parking near the hotel, other than through valet. Therefore, it came as quite a shock when we saw an additional charge of $240 on our bank statement after checking out. We were under the impression that this card meant that as a quest, we were allowed access to the lot. We didn’t not expect for it to charge $48 a night (on top of the expected $48 daily resort fee) to our room, for us to receive a large charge upon checking out. As silly as this might sound, we surely thought that we would be informed that parking was an additional $48 a day, even for resort guests, but that was never communicated to us which feels rather shady. The resort has great amenities in a great location. But as far as the quality versus quantity for our stay, I would suggest elsewhere. At nearly $500 a night for a king bed room, the room was humid and damp with an added mildew scent (bad enough that we needed to buy room spray to mask). The shower leaked water soaking the floor every time it ran, not to mention the water was back and forth between scalding hot and ice cold without ever adjusting it. Beautiful property. Nice pools, clean rooms, lagoon was fun. Dining options are limited.

Room was large and spacious. Walk in closet. Large HDTV. We got to see an endangered nene goose from our balcony! Only negatives about the room was shower/tub drain was very slow. The lights could have been brighter in the room. Palace tower, room 3269. PS My wife was distressed at the hungry kittens that appeared in the morning and evening begging to be fed. They should be taken to an animal shelter and not euthanized. The hotel staff was wonderful.

Excellent layout and condition of the public areas. The rooms are quite dated. The strength of this resort is in its natural features.
