While Hotel New Otani contains nearly every amenity a traveler could need, its focal point is the 400-year-old traditional Japanese garden, once home to samurai lord Kiyomasa Kato (1562-1611), and also owned by a shogunate of the Edo period during its extensive history. Built in 1964, some of the hotel's notable features include its 10-acre property, which includes a moat, scattered trees, a koi fish pond, winding pathways, a Christian chapel, and even a waterfall.
Additional cultural facilities at the New Otani include a finishing school, tea ceremony room, and an art museum with free admission.
Business center: Business support centers are located in both the Main and Tower buildings. The Tower business center is located on the 21st floor and is open daily. It has four computer workstations, three printers, and a relaxation room with massage chairs and reading material. A business support center on the lobby floor of the main building is open daily and offers photocopying, faxing, typing, translation, and other administrative services. Mobile phones can also be rented, and mailing, packaging, and gift wrapping services are available here.

Conference/function room: A large conference room, measuring 21,442 square feet (1,992 square meters), holds up to 1,200 people and includes high-tech light/scenery controls and simultaneous interpretation equipment for up to six languages.
