I traveled with my wife and 5yr old and arrived into tokyo early evening. We got registered quickly by hotel staff and got into our room with everything ready. The third bed was already set up with a welcome bag for our child waiting. Traveling with young children, that was appreciated. The front desk staff and concierge were all awesome and helpful throughout our week stay. Gave us great tips and useful info about places we wanted to go. Waits and lines, if any, were never too long. The French Kitchen breakfast buffet was great and its staff were also wonderful. It was unfortunate that Shunbou was closed for renovations (?) and the pool for maintenance during the first few days of our stay. The location is a great balance of quiet, convenience, and access to attractions.

Decent hotel, excellent housekeeping. On site steak house and teppanaki restaurant were deeply average and extremely expensive even before the 15‰ service charge.
Nice pool but gym was rammed both times I tried to use it.
Overall, an OK hotel but not an exceptional one.

Our first visit to Japan. Tokyo is a fantastic city and the Grand Hyatt is extremely well situated and convenient for public transport, sightseeing and shopping. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and the staff are outstanding. A 5 Star experience in every way. We'll be back!

This property is quite dated and overpriced and definitely overrated.
