Poor internet connection. The cleaner mistakenly took our own towels.

From the outside this hotel looks okay, but when the rooms are about the size of a small bedroom and seems as though it may have been a home converted. The doors are made of plywood extremely thin and only has a push lock on the handle. I did not feel very safe or secure with leaving items in my room.

Standard hotel not too far from the train station

Posted 9 Nov 2014
Pros: Room is big enough for 2, and just nice for 2 large luggages but we had to shuffle things around. Overall cleanliness is good enough for us.
Cons: The breakfast could be individually packed, if possible. Other guests dig into the bread spread and it can be quite inconsiderate.
Location: Place is about 3 bus stops from Shilin station. If you have time to study the bus routes, they bring you to other markets to explore.
We were too early for check in but was allowed to leave our luggage there instead. Staff were friendly and they helped us how to get around and even provided maps. We were short on TWD and it so happened that it was a public holiday there so banks were not opened, but the staff tried their best to call up the nearest shopping area with a money changer. Kudos to them going the extra mile to help us.

Not easy to assess

Posted 9 Apr 2014
The hotel is only accessible via taxi or public bus. Though it's in Shilin it's not near to Shilin downtown. The hotel room is small. It's clean, except that the pillows smell a bit.

An adventurer's getaway

Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff, safe and clean, cosy.
Cons: Breakfast for guest can be improve. Not much variety.
Location: The hotel is located at shilin district. It's away from the main districts but transportation is cheap and easily accessible. Nothing much to do there
It's a nice cosy hotel tucked at the side of an alley. Definitely one of the cheapest rates for a one to two nights stay. Ideal for backpackers or couples. 1-2 person travelling together. There is no lift so you got to climb a flight of stairs. Only 3 floors, easy. The hotel staff was super nice to carry my luggage all the way to the 3rd floor for me! Kudos dude! Very informative receptionist, know everything you need to know on where to go in Taipei. The room is compact but has everything you need and comes with a big bed just for one person. Only down side, nothing to do around the area and it's slight away from the main districts of Taipei. But transportation is cheap and easily accessible so no worries. If you like, get an Easy card for public bus rides. Have fun in Taipei! :)
