A decent option with a few shortcomings
Posted 18 May 2023 on HotelsModern and clean. Good enough sound insulation, although some hallway noise did come in. Windows were filthy, which blocked me from enjoying the views. Desk staff is helpful and largely English speaking. No pool. The open floorplan lobby restaurant has signs all over for 300 NT minimum charge, leading to no space for guests to just sit and chill without being a customer. I wasn't a fan of the branding/colors of the hotel and rooms–too dark for me without the nightclub vibe of the W Hotel. Mattress was comfortable. Shower pressure very weak, but otherwise the bathroom was nice.

I had a pleasant experience at the Aloft Taipei Beitou. The room is well-designed and spotless and offers excellent amenities and utensils, including a mini-fridge, high-speed internet, complimentary bottled water, and excellent bathroom toiletries. The bed was a tad too soft for my preference, and there was some noise from adjoining rooms, but these were minor issues. Overall, a great stay with excellent value.
