This is an outdated property. The pools have chipped tiles, the paint is fading, and the rooms are dated for what you would expect for a “resort” of this price on the water. Holiday Inn should seriously consider investing in renovations. The staff were all pleasant and helpful though. The failures of this facility come from Corporate or the Franchise owner.

Was a nice place to stay given how close it was to the beach. Went looking for food and found the beach. The hotel itself seems kind of dated.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn South Padre Island Resort so much and that was in great part due to the staff. I can’t say enough about the young lady at the front who was very helpful the whole stay or about the servers during breakfast. Everyone was very accommodating and it was bonus to the fantastic family pools and fabulous hotel side beach. Would definitely stay here again!

The elevators did not work properly. The elevators were missing buttons. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was dirty. Room did not get cleaned until we called to have it cleaned towels for the pool were not accessible we had to go to front desk each time.

This resort has good dining options. Property has multiple pools and beach access. The hotel building is dated and elevators were not working properly. They charge an extra resort fee, I expected it would include pool towel service and beach chairs but that was not the case. You have to bring your own towel and pay extra for each beach chair.

Inside of the resort was good but outside it was so dirty and need updates all the areas ouside
