Elevator 1 was broken down. The remaining two elevators were malfunctioning during our entire trip. No communication was provided to guests regarding the issues. The elevator stopped on every floor. Other times the doors would slam closed on guests. Staff knew about the problem and offered no solution. Horrible service and an unsafe environment regarding the elevators. The building was not maintained well overall. Was not made aware of parking fees until we arrived. Reaort fee for who knows what because the amenities were not good. Their market provided a horrible selection of food. I would sincerely not recommend this property to anyone.

Very nice hotel, bar service was not good. And elevators felt unsafe and very slow but it was clean and loved the pool and the views from our floor.

My wife and I have stayed at the Hilton Regency for the last 12 years or so - my observations on this review spans this period, not just a single stay (which with every hotel can be hit or miss).
-The shining star of the property is the pool and outdoor bar. A real constant over the years and where we spend much of our time. The pool is always clean - seems they’ve installed a saltwater system. But please stop with the upbeat techno music ALL day. Maybe Top40?
-Hallways and guest room are becoming dated. Need to lose the carpet and install more hard surface. Room decor hasn’t changed in 10 years.
-This is a pet friendly property (which we didn’t realize - but totally ok). However when booking a Balcony King we were assigned a room on the second floor that clearly had pets occupy previously without being asked if an animal room was ok. The low quality (seemingly patio-type IN the room) carpeting was beyond time to repair as visible stains were reported to the front desk upon departure.
-Showers are in dire need of updates. Enough said.
-There’s now paid self park of $25 daily. This is unfortunate on top of an existing $30 resort fee. Just feels like guests are paying for many extras now — but it must be acceptable as I see many newer hotels in the area have excessive self park rates.
-Overall: Still a great value for money no less. Quietly tucked back on Boulevard of the Arts. Staff is always friendly / welcoming. Beautiful pool area you cant beat.
