It is by a train station and I heard train whistles all night long that kept me awake. The bathroom was rundown and the shower barely worked. The location near the UC Davis campus is the hotel’s best feature.

Had a great room - large suite with separate kitchen, dining, bath, living room. Very nice room. Clean. Walkable to the center of town - did it a number of times. Staff were great. Breakfast was really good. Far better than many motels. My only negatives are minor - I reserved a king size bed. Pretty sure this was queen - I have a queen at home. People above me had little kids that ran around - but thats life in motels. The bar in the hotel pictures looks fancier than reality - again truly a minor issue.
