I was a little worried given some of the reviews concerning hot water, but did not have any issues. They were doing maintenance on the water boiler while I was there, so they must have been addressing the issue.
The hotel is centrally located, so I did not need a car. Restaurants and shopping were close by, and Rome itself is very walkable. Diego greeted me at the reception desk and was friendly as he got me checked in. My room was clean, a bath robe with slippers were laid out on the bed, the a/c worked perfectly, and the shower had plenty of hot water. I was on the 6th floor and had no issues with street noise.
Yes, the property is old and could use a face lift, but all in all I would stay here again.

The staff are polite and friendly. They are attentive to requests. We arrived in the area hours before check in, and the hotel kept our luggage safe until our room was ready.
