We liked the property. It was close to the ocean and hearing the ocean rise and fall was wonderful for sleeping and meditation.
I did not like being placed on the 20th floor of the hotel. I'm aversive to heights. The room was fine and we had a partial view of the ocean. But we also had a good view of the favela bored into the mountainside behind the hotel. The favelas are unfortunate living areas of the poor and dispossessed, and this bothered me somewhat.
The food was great. The restaurants took care of us nicely and the concierge was wonderful in answering all of our questions.

Our second stay at the Sheraton Grand. Its great for dining options, spa and fitness facilities coupled with quality rooms and value for money.

The property overall is pretty good from outside to the entry and to the spa. However, the hotel room itself is very disappointing! The carpet is dirty and dust is all around the furniture. The bathroom is small. The room feel like a motel room. Not enough towels.

Toilet did not flush and backed up 3 times
No fan in the bathroom
The phone in the room did no work.
Check in . Need more
Staff at the conceirge desk are excellent
Breakfast second rate.
Pool resturant staff very good
