We have travelled across Europe and this hotel is by far the best! The front desk show that they are happy you chose their hotel. Splurge and book the king suite - amazing! Fantastic bakery on the corner - Brikk. 10 minute walk to Lava Show, Fly Over Iceland and Whale exhibit. 15 minutes to old town with lots of shopping. Hotel has loads of little rooms called lounges - some with fireplace or couches. Just a fantastic stay all the way around!!

I liked the working harbor and big ships and the closeness to activities. I like the helpful staff.and the quiet room . loved the continental breakfast and the slippbarinn restaurant.

The room is exactly what I needed for a short stay in Reykjavik… the staff is very kind and always willing to help. I also appreciated the green initiative to forego housekeeping service. The lobby is great to hang out and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.

I really wanted to like this property but it just has to many downsides. From the outside it looks great super cute theme throughout the hotel however it was deceiving. First the hotel staff is very unfriendly and act as if you should be happy they are there to help you. The room was a shoe box with uncomfortable beds paper thin walls and the bathroom that was a foot away from the bed with a door that didn’t seal all the way. Had a nice balcony but that’s about it. The bar was nice drinks and food were good. Location was okay the marina is kinda loud and ugly. Definitely would pick somewhere else next time.
