This property on every online travel site states this is a 5 star resort. I stayed May 2024 for 6 days in what was build on all sites as the Presidential Suite with a bedroom and two (2) bathrooms and a personal butler. There was nothing presidential and it only had one bathroom and the butler (Samuel) who was supposed to meet us upon arrival did not come to meet us and we “ran” into him about three (3) hours after arriving. We received no tour of the property which is what most butlers perform for the guest. When I would ask Samuel if something was available to us his response would be, “I told you that already”. We kept getting different answers as to why there was no room at all on the property with a second bathroom like most suites in any resort style hotel have. The food was the worst I have ever had in the Dominican and I have been there 3 previous times. The room left much to be desired. The walls have noticeable repairs that even a beginner handyman could repair. You will find caulk everywhere trying to hide all the imperfections. The entire staff was not as friendly and helpful as I have previously been accustom to. The decor is not a five star either, the only outstanding item on the property is the spa. But I also had issue with that service also. My spouse and I both received massages, but when we compared our identical services I did not receive the same level or length of time as my spouse. Overall do not waste your time, money, or energy at this resort.

The resort is beautiful with a lot of events going on every night. It’s an excellent vibe and the workers are very nice and friendly. The only thing I did not like is how bland the food taste. Every night I tried a different meal and was not satisfied at all. Other than that everything was great

The property was nice, the drinks were nice, and the food was nice. One of the best buffets I have been too. Only gripe is the Indian restaurant which is the best restaurant in my opinion doubled as a restaurant for special dinners for some guests. This caused the restaurant to be unavailable for dinner about half the time.

The room was outdated and not clean. Requested housekeeping to clean it many times with no luck. Food at the buffet cold with no seasoning. Food at the bar next to the main pool was lacking basic health standard. Room service is another terrible experience, the options are limited and what you order is totally different than what you get. The A/C in the room is so loud that you have to sleep with earplugs. Add to that the construction downstairs in our building, if you don’t leave your room in the morning you are guaranteed a day full of noise. The only highlight for us was the beach. For many days if you go for a walk around the property you will smell sewage. Staff friendliness was average, some were nice and some were just plain rude. Watch out if you have to flush the toilet at night, it’s so loud that you are going to awake the rest of the room. The overall vibe is of a 3 stars resort not a 5 stars.

I had an incredible experience at Chic Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and I'm more than happy to leave a 5-star review! The resort exceeded my expectations in every way.
