Definitely a party resort! But most noise dies down around 11pm. Except you can still hear loud guests and slamming doors all night. Best if you know some Spanish. Most employees don’t speak much English but try and are very friendly. Great beach at this resort. Food was pretty average. Drinks were good!

I have enjoyed traveling all my life, from child to an adult. Unfortunately, this hotel resort in Punta Cana, DR, was the worst I have ever experienced. While check-in went smoothly and the hotel initially appeared clean, major issues soon arose. Upon arrival, I encountered several problems, which I reported to the front desk, but they did nothing to address them. The staff acted as if I was bothering them, and their responses were unhelpful. Day1 There were no wash towels throughout the hotel. When I inquired, the front desk said the hotel had stopped buying them. Just before bed, I found a bug in the closet, killed it, and took a picture. The next morning, I woke up to water all over my floor because the air conditioner was leaking, with water running down the walls. I laid down towels to avoid slipping. Despite calling the front desk three times and going there in person, the maintenance person didn’t show up until 24 hours later. After fixing the problem, they didn’t pick up the dirty, wet towels off the floor. Day2 I woke up to find the water was off. I noticed two more bugs in my room & found bug bite marks on my legs. I filed another complaint, but still received no help. My door kept jamming every time I left my room. The lock wouldn’t engage properly, so I had to close the door multiple times before it would lock. The resort is good for parties if that's all that you care about and strong drinks. Other than that the food was horrible. We had to go off the resort a few times just to get satisfying food. The hotel need to update the rooms, our key cards didn't work, the TV didn't work, the phone didn't work. They didn't even clean our rooms, only twice in the five days that we spent... Do not see myself staying there again.

Very unhappy with this trip considering i’ve stayed all Riu each time I vacation somewhere ! No one greeted us helped us with bags or offered anything to us on arrival. They had no wash cloths for us to wash with. Instead we had to use hand towels instead for our ENTIRE STAY! The room had roaches and the air conditioning did not work! We still had to stay in this nasty room the first night until our room could be switched. Each time we left our room we could not get in the keys stopped working. When we informed the hotel they stated that it’s happening to everyone like that’s normal. They had no empathy for visitors and did nothing to fix things. It was trash and cups all over the pool areas all times of the day. The walls were molded and cracking from water damage. The bathroom had a natural porter potty smell. Each time we tried to get help or assistance all the hotel employees would say is they don’t speak english. Floors was always wet ppl was falling.

This was the worst Riu I have ever been to in my life from the time we arrived! No one greeted us helped us with bags or offered anything to us on arrival. They had absolutely not one wash cloth for us to wash with. We were instructed to use hand towels instead for our ENTIRE STAY! The towels were not even white they look very out dated and dingy. Pro: nice Resort, buffet was good and the restaurants very good , water slides very fun, also the night activities were nice. Cont: drink mediocre and key card horrible, I had to change it more than 4 times.

My first day at the hotel, i was given a room without any running water. The toilet would not flush, the shower did not work. I went to the front desk 4 times in an attempt to get another room, only to be told that there were no rooms available. I had to shower and use the bathroom in my friend’s room. On day 2, I demanded to speak with the front desk manager, and let them know that I would contact American Express, since that is the card company that I used. At that point I was given a new room in another building. After that I was great!!! My vacation was then enjoyable.
