We liked that the property was close to the riverfront, Trimet trains and buses and restaurants. We rented a car to drive to the coast and Mt Hood but otherwise, we didn’t need one. For new visitors to Portland, just be aware homelessness is an issue for the city and try some compassion whenever you might find someone down on their luck. We had no safety issues at all and single women safely walk the streets and ride public transportation wherever we went.

Had a pretty nice first stay. It’s a cute boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Nice to get two free drinks - bar food was really good. Parking on site (a little more expensive than some, cheaper than others.) Fun pineapple theme throughout. Could use a little sprucing up in the hallways and workout room. And walls seem a little thin with noisy people on our floor. Liked it enough to stay again in a few weeks.
