I have stayed here multiple times over the last 4 years. The staff is always delightful, the rooms and grounds are well cared for.

People not renting on property were grilling late at night, the room was gross- and I understand outdated and kinda old, that’s fine if it’s kept up, but woke up first morning and there was a bug crawling around in the bed, the floors didn’t look like they’d been cleaned in months, the dust on the night stands made me not want to even put my phone down. The dining table chairs were ripping and very cheap, no creamer or sugar for the coffee. The shampoo and conditioners were previously used, the tub knocked when you stepped in certain areas, the toilet was loose any time you got up from it- it would fall back.. and I’m a little person.. the patio table/chairs and area around was covered in bird crap, over all the place smelt musty.. property and surrounding grounds don’t look maintained enough to call it a “golf resort”.. the parking is ridiculous, as soon as I was done with check in I started to search for something else in the area that would be much cleaner and safer maybe with less convenient amenities but anything would have been better- the ladies at the front desk were nice, that’s about it.. as a girl getting away for the weekend and the men from the trailer park behind the property coming over to use the grills and staring I really didn’t feel very safe.. money wasted in my opinion- I won’t stay again:

I stayed one night and cancelled my other two nights and went to the Marriott. Westgate was dirty and dark and dingy.

The room was beautiful and clean. Very much of a home feeling. In the bathroom jacuzzi was great and relaxing. What I did not like was, in the room I stayed in had a connecting room that was being occupied. That’s something that made me feel very uncomfortable, I feel that should have been relied to me at check in. Also, I called in the morning to ask for 15 extra minutes so I could clean up and be sure I had all of my belongings. The female that answered was very very rude. Check out was at 11:00am and I understand that but 15 minutes to do the hotel a favor and clean up after myself is a bit ridiculous. Also, when booking my reservation I was told that the hotel was pet friendly but at check in there is a $150 pet non refundable cleaning fee. So I had a friend pick up my two 5 pound dogs.
