Great location but poor hotel
Posted 6 Jun 2023 on HotelsWe had booked and prepaid via Hotels.com for 2 superior double rooms (one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds). Reception tried to charge us again for these rooms. We were initially given 2 double bedrooms. When we pointed out that one should be a twin, we were told that that was not what we had booked. Fortunately we had printed out the Hotels.com documentation which showed that we had indeed booked a twin. We were then given one accessible room with no window in which the air conditioning failed - reception suggested we leave the door open all night (in an external courtyard) as there were no alternative rooms available. The other room (a comfort rather than the superior double we had booked) had an ant infestation. The following day we were given two new rooms - the air conditioning did not work in one of these. 3 unacceptable rooms out of 4 seems like more than a coincidence. The rooms all looked a bit tired and a grubby towel lay on the courtyard doorway for a couple of days adding to the overall feeling of neglect.

Location was great. Hotel was clean and breakfast was great! Would definitely book again.

Posted 21 Dec 2022 on HotelsLocation of this hotel is excellent. Close to good restaurants, cafes, shops and the all important metro. Rooms have been recently refurnished. Beds are comfortable and its quiet. Some of the front desk people can be little surly at times and this is the only area where I find fault. Housekeeping from some members of staff is just okay. I've stayed here more than once because of the district.
