Great location. The Metro is literally just outside and Metro Ligne 1 is the best metro line for getting to the major tourist spots. Lots of great dining options all around. The family had a fabulous time! Staff were very helpful and friendly

It’s about Location

The furnishings in rooms were very simple, personally I like a bit more flair. . The breakfast buffet was good. Location good and close to station.

Was looking for a safe hotel close to Gare de Lyon, this hotel is just steps away from the Gare. Friendly staff, wonderful location.

Upon arriving in our room we noticed that it was visibly unclean, particularly the bathroom (there was other people’s body hair in the bathtub). There was construction happening outside our room (constant jackhammering) that began at 7:30am. Our room was not cleaned the first or second day of our stay. The second day of our stay we stepped into the elevator and noticed an overwhelming terrible smell. We looked down to see human feces on the floor of the elevator. At this point is was obvious that the standards of cleanliness at this hotel were unacceptable. We spoke to the managers Carla and Antoine, to let them know about these issues and to check out. We explained that we had no problem paying for the two nights we had already spent there, but we wanted to check out and be refunded for the remaining 8 nights that we prepaid for. The managers were extremely rude and unreasonable, refusing to refund us for the remaining 8 nights. The only thing they offered us was complimentary breakfast, given the disgusting condition of the hotel it is truly the last place in Paris I would eat. Our interactions with them were infuriating, they were dismissive and incredibly rude. They would still be able to rent that room out after we left, so there was no reason that they couldn’t reimburse us given the circumstances. We decided to leave and check in to an Airbnb which was lovely and clean. I will never stay at a Novotel Hotel again. Overall it was an awful experience.

Our team has already exchanged with you about all the subjects you mention but I am gonna address it also. Regarding construction noise in the street sadly, we can not do anything about it. We ask them to avoid strong noise in the morning but thats all we could do. Regarding your room, we do apologize for the event, however we offered you to change room and get an upgrade that you refused. We then offered you a stay in another Novotel hotel and you also refused. Regarding your room not getting cleaned the second day, you had put the "do not distrub" sign on your door.Regarding the incident in the elevator, we do apologize however we cleaned it directly when we realised it, it was a dog accident and not what your accusing. We are sincerely sorry your overall experience was disappointing.We wish you a lovely day,
