Staff was very friendly. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was also great with many choices. We’ll be back!

Have been staying at the Holiday Inn Express hotels for a number of years. This was my first stay in one if their properties in Ottawa. The hotel is extremely very clean with modern rooms. The Front of House Staff are very helpful and friendly. A hot or continental breakfast is included each morning and coffee is always available.

Overall the stay was perfect inside the hotel, very clean, comfortable & new. Beds were excellent & premises quite. Close to downtown without the hustle/bustle of the Downtown as it’s a few blocks walk. The only concerning issue was that on our walk back, my son chose a road 1 street over from hotel & it was in the area of a large homeless shelter. There were several people living on the street in tents & boxes, or no shelter m. Although this is found in every city, just be aware of walking route near the hotel. There was a security guard inside the hotel, and high likely helps with security concerns, however for such a new hotel to be erected & advertising as a downtown location I should have been more aware of surrounding area & location as it was concerning upon noticing the surroundings after check-in.

- Avoid walking on the part of Murray street near the hotel. - Lack of underground parking available for guests is another issue.
