So bad, booked a different hotel for 2nd night

Posted 6 Dec 2022 on Hotels
The room was adjacent to the subway line, with single-glazed windows. The toilet seat was not attached, one of the window latches was missing, and the room was generally in poor condition. The room was smoking, even though the info on hotels.com made no mention. After booking a new hotel I canceled the 2nd night. The owner refused to give any refund saying, "Its' a cheap hotel." When I said it's false advertising to call it a 2.5-star hotel, the owner claimed he doesn't set the rating.

Hotel near Temma station

Posted 30 May 2017 on Wotif
Hotel staff was very nice, accommodating, helpful. Amenities provided was very good and plentiful. Hotel was very close to the station and market. We stayed in a triple room and it was very small, toilet was tiny and hard to get in. Our room window was within about one meter from rail tracks. Noise from trains passing is a bit of down side of this hotel.

cafe downstairs on the ground floor and then two upper floors of rooms so be prepared to haul your butt and luggage up those stairs. room was very clean and the hotel was one door down from a convenience store, which was three doors down for the train station. and yeah they have two beautiful cats.

Cheap Tatami Rooms with Futons & Private Baths

Posted 15 Dec 2016
Pros: Close to Temma Station and nearby market
Cons: Ensure the cat doesn't make noises at night
Location: Temma Station, “Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street”, Shady illegitimate nightlife attractions/solicitation, Fun legitimate bars
Atmosphere: Cat toys in cafe entrance indicate that a cat resides in this hotel -cat allergy sufferers beware; Service: Very warm and friendly staff (I think some English is spoken but I stuck with Japanese for practice) -I think Japan has some of the warmest and friendliest service in the world so long as one is prepared for a potential language barrier; Cost: Cheap; Experience: My friend and I came to visit my bartender friend so we only used the room for sleeping. It has tatami-styled rooms with your average futons so take that as you will. The toilet room was claustrophobic, but the bathing room had enough space for washing on a sitting stool (or standing) and relaxing in the nearby tub. I don't think you are supposed to wash in the tub but rather on the stool outside of it. Late at night the cat did make noises as if it was in heat or spoiled enough to get its way but that only lasted for a few minutes. Passing trains are loud but only make noises during operating hours (5 am to midnight), so they actually helped as an alarm clock and didn't bother sleep from visiting a local bar.
