Not a cookie-cutter hotel chain. Had visual appeal and charm. Great service, cool seating area outside in pub with shacks for groups, and beverage manager was awesome.

Guests have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the elevators. Sure it's 5-7 steps, but that's not where it ends. Twice we had to walk up and down two more flights of stairs after the elevator ride to get to our room. Forest time experiencing that setup. Hot water wasn't working at 11 PM. Had to walk back to the front desk, and front desk simply said, "Wait 20 minutes and then torn on the hot water. We just turned on the pilot light." No apologies for the inconvenience of having to walk to the desk from the farthest room in the propery. Not the friendliest staff.

This place was a fantastic place to stay. We had a King suite and the bed was comfortable and the restaurant was delicious too. We went to the wine bar in the hotel. The shower drain wasn’t draining properly so it was a little off putting and the carpet was soaked beside the bed on the first night we were there. There was an unfortunate smell throughout but we just put an air freshener in the room and it was a lot less noticeable. The staff is what won it for us though. They were so hospitable right down to staff seeing us in the hallway with our key cards not working so he ran down to the desk to redo them for us. He was so kind. The cafe there had been opening for their first day and they were wonderful too. Will go back there next time we go to Niagara Falls.

The room smelled incredibly musty and the air conditioning was loud and either freezing/full blast or off. the carpet in our room was smelly and dirty and the place just did not feel clean at all.

The lobby was nice and the restaurant was great. Other than that, we were very disappointed. There was a $35 per day parking charge. Our room with a "courtyard view" was in poor condition and the view was mostly of an old wooden wall. The television in our room did not work for the entirety of our stay. Staff tried to fix it, could not, and did not offer any kind of service recovery. We had no hot water in our room the first night or the last morning of our stay. We were registered for four guests, they gave us two bath towels. When we called to ask for more, they brought floor mats and hand towels. We left a request for 4 towels the following day, and again only received two. Behind one of the ridiculous pieces of "art" on the wall were exposed electrical circuits. Our key cards did not work, front desk staff then informed us that they were so sensitive that if they were near a phone or credit card they would deactivate. That would have been good to know at check in. Tub was very slippery, nothing to hold on to. I relayed this all politely to the check out clerk and asked if there could be any service recovery due to these circumstances, and she said she would reach out to the supervisor who would follow up with me. The supervisor never contacted me.

Hotel common areas are very nice. Highly rated restaurant. Super convenient location perfectly located between Clifton and Fallsview casino. Rooms feel slightly muggy and outdated but it’s very comfortable. If you’re just looking for a place to rest while spending your time in Niagara, for the price, it’s perfect!
