1. The gym is so small it should be called a closet. 2. The room looked and smelled dated. 3. I found a 2” cockroach walking on the TV stand.

In the heart of the French Quarter. That can be good or bad, as the noise from the Quarter could be heard from the 11th flood. But very clean and convenient.

The hotel was just okay. The room could have been cleaned better. We stayed 6 nights and had to ask for trash removal and towels. One our last night housekeeping cleaned our room without asking. The front desk did not tell us about all of the facilities on property. The pool was small and had way too many chemicals in it. Valet and the bell services were very professional and helpful. The location was convenient and near a lot of things or in walking distance.

Well, New Orleans is not what it’s cracked up to be. The hotel is nice and if you are interested in the French Quarter it’s perfect. However, it would have been nice to know we had to use valet parking that cost $40 plus a tip. This was just a passing through trip for us after coming from Daytona to Kansas so all the additional charges really wasn’t cool. PLUS they keep your keys….not a fan of that. The city is dirty and gross. We went out for 15 - 20 minutes and this is checked off my bucket list. The hotel staff was not the friendliest…acted like we were inconvenient. One key card didn’t work, we asked them to fix it and they “fixed” it but they didn’t. It still didn’t work. We are on the 20th floor so at least it should be quiet.

I was first at another Wydham and they cancelled due to flooding a few days before I was support to stay with them. Then the fire alarm went off twice while I was at the French Quarter Wynham. The staff were so apologetic, but there needs to be a compensation for causing guests so much trouble.
