Great location needs maintenance on the hallways

The staff was kind, but the hotel itself wasn’t the best. The carpet outside the hotel was extremely dirty and stained. A friend booked on a different floor had a strange vomit-like stain that went uncleaned.
The rooms were okay, but you can really see the age on the walls and flooring. By our air conditioner was a poorly patched hole/crack. The floors weren’t clean and were stained. The baseboards were incredibly dusty and looked slightly moldy. I left the stay sick with allergies. Oh, and we were facing a brick wall lol.
If you are sensitive to sound or wake easily, don’t stay here either. The floors are incredibly loud, and I could hear the upstairs neighbors stomping and running around. This wasn’t their fault, but I do wish the hotel communicated the age and state of the establishment before I paid.
Ultimately, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for the price. The lobby and outside looks promising, but you’re getting less than what you’re paying for.
We were charged correctly for what we used in the minibar, but our friends’ mini bar had open and half empty drinks; they were charged despite management stated they otherwise wouldn’t.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to be near the attractions but not in it. Bourbon St and the surrounding area is very noisy. The hotel is a short walk from those things but far enough to avoid the hard partying crowd. Parking is directly across from the hotel in a public lot. Be sure to inform the hotel during check in because there’s a form to complete. This isn’t the Intercontinental or LeMeridian. This is in a historic building so the floors creak and you hear your neighbors. Character. Each employee we encountered greeted us enthusiastically. Our room was spotless with modern features and our dog was welcomed along with a few others we saw. Mother’s for excellent po boys is half a block. We will be back.

Loved the ambiance and overall vibe of the hotel. Easy access to bus and streetcar lines, and the Quarter isn’t too far away.

Quirky hotel. Loved it! Loved location, away from Canal street but still felt like New Orleans!

I had a very pleasant stay. I walked all throughout the French Quarter, it was so convenient! I would definitely stay again!
