I LOVED staying at the Seahorse with my boyfriend. We both feel we've found our Outer Banks place. The room was clean, the area was quiet, the beach was just a short walk away, as were some shopping and restaurants. Definitely will be back.

There was a huge gap under the door. Questionable electricity, as the lights dimmed when the microwave was running. Multiple lamps that either did not work properly or did not work at all. Expensive room for being so shabby and crowded.

It's disappointing to hear about your experience at the Seahorse. Issues like a large gap under the door, electrical problems, and malfunctioning lamps can certainly detract from the overall comfort and enjoyment of your stay. Additionally, if the room felt crowded and didn't meet your expectations for the price, that's understandable frustration. It sounds like there are some maintenance and perhaps even management issues that need addressing. Providing feedback like this can help the establishment improve, ensuring better experiences for future guests. Have you considered reaching out to the management to share your concerns?

Great location, Affordable. Restaurants close by, Pier, convenience store walking distance. Gas 1/2 mile. Parking is tight and limited. 3 story building with NO elevator. No pool.

It sounds like the Seahorse offers a fantastic location at an affordable rate, with plenty of amenities nearby like restaurants, a pier, and a convenience store within walking distance. Having gas stations close by is definitely convenient too. However, it's important for guests to note that parking is tight and limited, and the lack of an elevator might pose challenges for some guests, especially in a three-story building. Additionally, the absence of a pool might be a consideration for those looking for that amenity. Despite these drawbacks, the affordability and proximity to attractions make it a viable option for many visitors.

We actually left and booked another hotel 20 minutes after arrival. We had a room on the second floor up narrow stairs with a bloody band aid and full trash can. Our room had a hole in the floor right when you walked in. The room smelled moist and moldy. The TV was on zoom and all of this I would have let slide until… the sheets- pulled them down and they were stained and dirty. The place has potential but I can’t sleep on dirty sheets. It’s obviously family owned and I was excited to support but it had too many needs.
