Very convenient location, across the street from the train station. Lots of great restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and speak enough English to be able to communicate effectively. They helped me complete a shipping paperwork to ship one of our larger suitcase to another hotel in Yokohama. The rooms are standard size for business hotel, but certainly small compared to hotels in USA. That said, comfortable and clean rooms. This is our 5th time staying here and will stay again in the future.

Third time stying with Hokke Club Nagaoka. A walking distance from the train station. Close to shopping, food court, transportations and friedly professional staff in the Lobby and Restaurant on 2nd floor.

Pros: Close to Nagaoka Station and many other attractions.
Location: Must see: Niigata Prefectural Museum of History.
Drive to Tsubame-Sanjo, see Yahiko Shrine ride cable car to top of ridge.
Photos of the rooms found on the hotel’s website are accurate. Ditto its list of amenities. It is a VERY comfortable hotel. We definitely will book a room there again on a future visit.
For us, this was a 3-day/2-night trip to find some long-lost relatives. While going about that, we visited the Niigata Prefectural Museum of History, lunched at a nearby Aquare spa, drove out to Tsubame-Sanjo to see the Yahiko Shrine, rode the cable car from there to the ridge above where one can see the Japan Sea on one side, the Eichigo Plain on the other.
