Construction next door and air conditioning was a little on the loud side.

Awful service. Terrible staff. My mother DIED. I was flying back east from BC. The airline I booked with went bankrupt so I couldn’t land in Montreal where my sister lives and had to change my entire flight plan. The truly uncaring rude woman I spoke to about my situation could not have cared any less and refused to refund my stay bc I booked through Expedia.

Check -in. Arrived at noon and was told we could not check-in until 4:00. Left luggage with them and was charged $8.00 for this privilege. We went to lunch and asked again at 2:00 but was told no check-in until 4:00. Sitting in the lobby we saw two groups check-in at 3:00 with different woman behind desk. When we asked her she checked us in immediately.

It is a 3/5 2-Star Hotel. The lobby is inviting, the front desk staff on all three interactions I had were less than focused, but you honestly get what you pay for. The vending machines are significantly over-priced. When you arrive, there is a IGA about 2 blocks away and a dollarama 3 blocks away. Check in, drop your stuff, and go stock up. Your mini fridge and freeze is good - there is a microwave in the laundry room (?) rather than in each room. The rooms themselves are a combination of 90s furniture and peeling wallpaper/grime, but I will say the shower seemed newer and was in fantastic working order. The biggest complaint I have is the SMELL in the rooms that is noticeable the minute you open the door. Suggest picking up odor remover if you're smell sensitive at the Dollarama or IGA. If you're staying longer as well your clothes will also smell. The rooms are large but poorly lit - and when you use the lamps you immediately notice the stains. It is a 2-Star Hotel that could use a little more care on the maintenance end of things - but you get what you pay for. If you're looking to just have a place to sleep and nothing else - you've found it. If you are sensitive to smells or will be coming back to the room intoxicated - I'd suggest the smaller rooms (but better overall conditioned) Hotel Zero about 2 blocks away. It is a great budget option for students - but I will not be returning on future trips.

When I checked in they said nothing about the hotel being under heavy renovations. Jackhammers started at 6:58AM. Building next door is also a construction site. This is not a place for a quiet stay.

Rooms were not particularly clean, furniture was old and beat up, no restaurant, limited parking, the list goes on. I found everything about this place lacking.

Location good to get to attractions. Service at checking in at 10:30 p.m. was very poor. Receptionist was rude and not helpful at all. Smell in Room was overpowering with air freshener. Stained carpet , walls dirty in places, tv not working and help didn’t come when requested . Called reception again and was told hotel is full so room change not possible. shower not working in the morning but we couldn’t wait around for maintenance. Reported concerns to morning staff who was very understanding and said problems would be fixed for the next person. We checked out at 11:00 a.m. I would hesitate about booking through Expedia and would not recommend this hotel!
