It is a characterful hotel, very traditional in its decor. Great location and my room overlooked the jardin restaurant and across to the cathedral- that was lovely. The cathedral bells will ring , if you are bothered by this then maybe it isn’t for you - I thought it was a great feature which added something. The staff are excellent and helpful and it is located very well for the old town. It could do with the carpets replacing in the common areas ( stairs ) as it was probably not the best choice and shows the wear and tear . All in all it was well worth the money

It was in the old town, good.
You could not drive to the property. We had to drag the luggage 250 meters.

Third visit!
Posted 18 Oct 2023 on HotelsOur third stay at this hotel. We love it for the location within easy reach of the centre of Montpellier. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't comment on the food as we always eat out (plenty of choice). Only negative would be the carpet on the stairs and hallways is looking a bit tired and dirty, but the rooms are always comfortable and clean.

Posted 9 Sep 2023 on HotelsWe liked the hotel. It has a great position and the building is very old and interesting. The hotel does need some new carpets in the common areas. The Cathedral which is behind the hotel is so lovely and the bells are a treat, especially at Vespers/Evensong. Also the huge trees are wonderful. We've stayed there a number of times and will stay again.
