This property is a real disappointment. We sceduled rooms for a departure trip to so cal and a return trip from so cal. Convenient to SQL but just not up to Hyatt standards. Property is tired, run down and looks like an apartment building/project with seamingly full time residents. The return trip involved a late check in, after returning from an evening out to a local restaurant room guest were met by very unpleasant odors in the room (the guest likened the experience to a crack house). The guest called the front desk and was met with push back about the complaint coming in hours after check-in.
After explaining the reason the office offered assistance at the front desk for a room change. A new room was quickly assigned and the guests had a pleasant rest. Hyatt needs to do better, this is not a good example of the brand.

We had a very stressful day with dr. appt. and went to the lounge for a cocktail and the servers were so polite, congenial and lifted our spirits. Their names were Jennifer, Sonia, and Haron, and I hope that you will let the Hyatt Regency at Del Monte know this. It made our stay so much more enjoyable, despite the difficult issues of the day!

The kids area is pretty run down. We enjoyed the gym, pool and pickleball.
