The room was extremely dark as there were no lamps or overhead lights. Asked the front desk about it and all they had was a camper light. For a 500 dollars stay I expected better.

We had a great time staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Monterey. The room was clean, comfortable & had a luxurious feel. The property was beautiful & the staff was polite and helpful!

Had a good stay, but it wasn't close to anything else in Monterey (accessible without a car)

Close driving proximity to everything Monterey & Carmel. Not walking distance, but if you have a car you’ll be about a 8-10 min drive to all main attractions. This hotel is new and modern, rooms and bathrooms are nice and large. Only concern is the rooms don’t have too much lighting and parking availability can be scarce if you’re arriving late in the night. Other than that this is a great option / location for the price. ***If you’re looking to be walking distance to Carmel or the Aquarium you’ll be paying double maybe triple for your nights stay at hotels that are in walking distance to the tourists spots. If you have a car and can drive under 10 mins to every hot spot book here!!

We stayed here for two nights. We checked in in the evening and then took the BART from the airport into San Francisco the next day and then flew out the following day. Very convenient. Shuttle to/from airport easy to use and convenient. Rooms are a little dated and showing their age but still In good/clean shape. I’m picky so that means something. Very convenient to airport and BART station.

My girls and I were looking forward to a nice, quiet and relaxing Friday at the spa and pool. We are locals but enjoy the pools and spas around monterey area. Unfortunately this hotel needs a little work on their spa. There are very sharp edges inside that are not safe. I ended up cutting my knee and today is two weeks since it happened and hasn’t healed. When I went to the front desk and asked if they had neosporin and a bandage they directed me to the gift shop. I then let the nice man at the desk know that I injured myself in the spa and showed him. The first thing he gave me was a liability paper to sign and I then asked him for neosporin and he said they had none and he gave me a bandage and a wipe to treat it, I’d wish they cared a bit more about their guest when I’m paying nearly $400 to use their pool and spa.
