Bayview Park Hotel Manila October 2014Posted 10 27, 14
Pros: Staff great, location good and free shuttle to Mall of Asia (first come first served) but cheap by cab if you miss
Cons: TV system needs to work consistantly
Location: Great for Manila bay, Mall of Asia. Star City and Rizal Park.
Generally ok but not outstanding, rooms clean and functional if a little tired in decor. Bathroom layout small and unusual with toilet directly in front of the door? may not apply to all rooms all working but long wait for hot water (it does arrive eventually) and fittings could do with resealing but all functioning. TV a bit hit and miss kept fading out to snow every few minutes. Well stocked Minibar but expensive extra water 8 times the street price (but you do get 2 complimentary bottles every day) Room chairs vinyl not fabric but again functional. Top floor deck Pool very pleasant if a little small no other users during my visit but could be a challenge if busy. Aircon basic but worked well (what more can you ask really) Windows dissappointing could have been a good view of Manila bay I was on the 11th floor but the glass has old and badly fitted interior film which marred the spectacle and made photography impossible (the windows dont open). Staff friendly and efficient, didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that. Overall acceptable but not brilliant, great for a budget stay but not going to impress the wife or girlfriend!

Perfect hotel for us....Posted 10 24, 14
I stayed in this hotel for 3 days & I loved it. The bell associates who help me load/unload my stuff is nice & give me some tips to enjoy my stay. The housekeeping staff Ian is so helpful & very accommodating. The one who check us is, I could tell, she is new because whatever questions I have she has to asked somebody. Other than that, I love my room, I stayed in a bay view suite, price is just right, its clean, big & perfect for us specially if you're expecting some visitors. It is overlooking the bay, embassy, restaurants, malls & other interesting places around Manila. It is easy to go around taxis are available anytime.

Pros: Clean, secure, friendly and rooms are well insulated against unwanted sounds.
Cons: Breakfast buffet dining area is rather small. Seemed to be slightly understaffed.
Very good hotel for the price. Room floors and rooms are secure. There is a resturant in the hotel if you wish to dine in. There are a few good resturants and an excellent Catholic church within easy walking distance. The hotel is directly across from the US Embassy which is convenient if you have business there. The area surrounding the hotel is rather shaky after dark, but not scary. We would stay there again.

Hotel near US Embassy ManilaPosted 09 12, 14
Pros: Bell Service Representative and The guards are friendly.
Cons: Communications from Receptionist and should take check-in guests to room during first time of arrival.
Location: Location was accessible. There are stores nearby just walking distance.
Customer Representative Ms. Cheriline was nice. She answers all my questions through online. When I get to receptionist for check in, I told the lady to send my pack breakfast on my room and I was waiting for it on the next day but wasn't delivered. I tried to call the reception's number but no one is not answering me 'til I had to leave already and not being able to have breakfast. Bell Service representative was nice, he talks to me pleasingly. I left my one bag for I had to go to Embassy for Interview. He said that for pack breakfast, I should have gotten it from the lobby. But then I said, I talked to the receptionist and she agreed. She should have told me about that. The guards outside hotel, they are pleasing and talked nicer to me. Helped me get into taxi. The Superior room was nice. It's comfortable. I was just really disappointed with the food not being delivered to my room as for left very early in the morning. Receptionist ladies are not pleasing. They don't talk nicer. The tone of their voice when they talk is poor, I say. Should improve how to deal with different people regardless of the nationality, whether rich or poor.

Nice Hotel!Posted 08 31, 14
Pros: It's location is right across the street from the US Embassy with a great view.
Location: There is a nice park nearby and many places to eat.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The buffet and restaurant was great. There is a gym and pool which not many hotels have at this price range.

Nice hotel, competitive rates and discountsPosted 08 24, 14
Pros: Affordable rates and extras like free breakfast buffet. Clean spacious facilities. Very congenial and helpful staff.
Cons: Not really very much room for improvement. Very nice place to stay.
Location: Shopping nearby, also the old historical Intramuros section of Manila. Lots of places to dine nearby, also.
The Bayview Park Hotel is my choice when in Manila. Competitive rates, discounts, and extras. Staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. Wifi can be a problem from time to time, but not that often, and that's a very common problem and complaint anyway in most of the hotels I've stayed in in Manila. This last visit the breakfast buffet was very good as usual, but a bit scant at times. I think they got unexpectedly slammed, but they tried really hard to get caught up and get everyone fed.

Average hotel, close to US Embassy.Posted 08 16, 14
Pros: Close to US Embassy. Not far from several museums. Several international channels on flat screen TVs.
Cons: Hotel in process of renovations. Areas near hotel need to be revitalized.
Location: Near Rizal Park, Manila Water Park, National Museum, Museum of Filipinos, St Augustin Museum, Intramuros and US Embassy. Starbucks attached to hotel.
3 star hotel. The price is about what you would expect. Manila prices are not Thailand, Vietnam etc prices, they are closer to US prices. Hotel will charge an additional fee (3000php) on check in, to be refunded upon check out, this seems to be fairly normal for the Philippines although amount will vary by hotel. Hotel is dated. Currently they have started renovations. Bar was closed for renovation. Pool and other areas not quite as nice as photos. Beds may be a bit firm for some used to pillow tops, they are acceptable, especially after walking around the area. Those whom are light sleepers may be bothered by noise from Roxas Blvd. (You are in a city, what do you expect?) Staff is very pleasant. Some of the restaurant staff is fairly shy so you may have to get their attention if you need anything. The (free) internet is terrible, really only good for checking email. Cab drivers have poor knowledge of area. Had to give them directions to places they should known. About 200php to get to National Museum because bad traffic and cab driver didn't know location. Hotel cab is over priced, use meter cab and make sure they turn it on. Hotel wanted 350php to take me to Manila Water Park, cab wanted 100php, metered it was about 55php. If you are not used to seeing, armed security guards at every business (including Starbucks), sidewalk peddlers, panhandlers, beggars and homeless, (many of which are abandoned children) you probably shouldn't travel outside your comfort zon
