Lochinvar House was excellent!

Posted 5 Dec 2016 on Wotif
Upon arrival we were greeted by our hosts, Mary & Brian who were nothing short of exceptional, they could not do enough for my wife & I & they made us feel welcomed. The room was very nice, comfy bed & great facilities. The next morming we were spoilt with fruit platters & a fresh cooked breakfast from our hosts. Lochinvar house was sensational with an exceptional rating, however, our hosts made the stay even better. Thank you Mary & Brian

We found the B&B to be a very quiet and out of the way place. Very relaxing, close enough to all of the facilities of the Hunter, but not right in the middle of it.

Historically significant and comfortable location.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, unique. Breakfast was great too.
Cons: It would be handy if there was a small sink to rinse crockery after use, bathroom sink is available but a little small.
Location: Close to vineyards and other Hunter Valley attractions, as well as the Royal Federal Hotel which I recommend for dinner.
We stayed in the cottage, with 2 children who enjoyed the stay but also got the opportunity to view the main house as well. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Information on the areas history really connected you to the unique features of the site and the area. Craig and Tina made us very welcome and breakfast on Sunday set us up for a busy day.

Great place, shame about the bathroom

Posted 24 Jun 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Wonderful, historic house with great views all around, beautifully period decoration and very peaceful. Lovely snooker room.
Cons: Bathroom being down hallway not perfect, especially as it was winter and rather cold!
Location: Very handy for Wineries in Lovedale and around Pokolbin and for visiting Branxton (great pet shop) and Kurri Kurri.
We loved the old house and grounds and our room (the four-poster) was spacious and very comfortable. We were the first guests for the couple managing the house and they made us feel very welcome
