Really nice hotel near the river in Kyoto. Room was very nice and spacious enough for 3 of us in a room. Modern design and has all the things you'd expect from a hotel room.
Check-in/check-out was also easy, and staff are very helpful with any questions/issues like luggage forwarding, reserving something, etc.
Has several of shops and restaurants nearby, and close to many locales like Pontocho Alley and Kamo River. About a 6-7 min walk to subway station, and closer for a bus stop.
Only gripe would maybe be no coin laundry in the hotel, but there is a good coin laundromat nearby the hotel (2-3 min walk).

Great hotel. Breakfast a bit crowded though. Unfortunately they had a restaurant that works twice a week only…

The hotel was in a perfect area for exploring Kyoto-both walking and using transit. The staff were helpful and accommodating and easy to communicate with. It is obviously a very popular tourist hotel and is very busy, but it was calm and pleasant and the breakfast was a great perk. The location of this hotel and the helpful staff is what makes it so desirable.

Cross hotel is definitely one of the best hotel options in Kyoto. It's a very clean, nicely designed hotel and has a fantastic, friendly staff who speak really good English. It's very well situated between various restaurants, izakayas, and shopping areas. You'll love your stay here.
