In Kingston for one day. The Holiday Inn had a good clean room at a reasonable price .

Nice hotel with clean rooms. The balcony rooms are a little overrated, but the location by the waterfront, close to the main shopping area, is what makes this place worthwhile

We love staying here when in Kingston. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The view of the marina is our favourite.

Room was clean, area (downtown Kingston) was nice, lots of stuff to do within walking distance. Check-in was over-complicated by staff that did not seem to know what they were doing. For payment, I used my credit card, and the point of sale machine said "approved", and the staff member working the desk told me that it had not been approved. I showed her my banking statement which showed the charge and she still refused to believe me and asked me to give my credit card to her. I did and she took it behind her computer and typed some stuff down. We got to our room and about 15 minutes after the first charge on my credit card, I got a second charge on my credit card for the same amount as the first. When I went back to check-in to inquire why they charged me twice, they insisted that they did not, even after I showed them my banking app on my phone that showed 2 identical charges within 15 minutes of each-other. When I asked for the second charge to be refunded to me they said that they couldn't do that and that the money would be refunded in 1-2 business days (in reality, 6 days with an extra $500 charge on my credit card). Luckily I'm not the type to max out my credit cards, but this type of business practice could negatively affect someone's finances. Of the two times I asked to speak to a supervisor, my request was never acknowledged and I had to continue dealing with staff who seemed like they were working their first shift. Nice balcony view into the harbor, though.

I paid for a balcony and it was filthy with bird droppings, spider webs, bugs and dirty chairs. Wecouldnkt sit out there. Our room and bathroom were clean though Hotel could use a bit of freshening up.
