I was perfectly fine with the hotel until I saw what my money could have gotten me at the Waikoloa Beach Mariott. When you compare the two…hands down I would have much rather stayed in Waikoloa. Better beach and much nicer hotel. King Kamehameha had great nearby shopping and restaurants within walking distance so we didn’t lose out too bad. The hotel was a bit dated and I was totally disgusted when I bent down to retrieve a comb that looked like mine and discovered it was not mine and there was a huge dead roach attached to it!! Also I booked with breakfast and when we arrived discovered that my breakfast was not included after all. Check your booking. The food is not worth the full price they charge.

I love the quick access to everything near Kona. Parking was easy. The pool was closed for remodeling during my stay but it was not an issue due to near beach access.
There were no issues with cleaning every 2 days.

Aloha Melisa, Thank you so much for your rating and feedback. I am so happy to hear that the pool closure was not an issue as we do have the near by access for water activities. We hope that you come and stay with us again. Mahalo Nui Loa,

First thing is the fact that the pool closed the day we arrived and the area went under construction. That was dusty, very loud and inconvenient, since our trip was to be an escape to an island for peace an quiet and lounging around the pool and bar. We could use the beach but we could not drink there??? Our ocean view room was of the tennis courts in back of parking lot with a view of ocean in a distance over the tree tops!!!
