We visited in January but the Christmas decorations were still up, making it feel rather festive. High ceilinged and roomy, an unexpected space in the middle of the city. The staff were so friendly and helpful too! We spent so much time on its wide balcony, drinking wine and watching the crowds ebb and flow into the mall below. The only thing that I wish could be improved would be access but due to its heritage status, I can understand why they can't do that.

One of the greats
Posted 1 May 2017 on HotelsAbsolutely wonderful experience. This is a real boutique hotel. Staff were phenomenally kind, professional, and welcoming. Not much time spent wandering Kowloon, as the private terrace overlooking all the comings and goings at heritage square was too hard to leave. Weddings, cosplay photo shoots - happy people, with the symphony hall as backdrop and HK skyline peeking above it. We felt like private guests. And ate and ate and ate. The rooms are individually quirky, huge, quiet and comfortable. But the staff were better than the beautiful old building (restored and repurposed maritime police station straight out of Love is a Many Splendored Thing), the amenities, the location or gorgeous food. So attentive and kind. We will be back soon.

Best Hotel in Hong Kong
Posted 26 Mar 2017
Pros: everything
Cons: perhaps a pool would be good
The hotel is in an excellent location close to the ferry terminal , great shopping and excellent restaurants . As the hotel is a small luxury place to stay it has a peaceful unhurried feel and the staff are always eager to help with anything you need .The colonial style and heritage of the building was very appealing and having worked in HK for 4 years i think that this is by far and away the best place to stay if you want to get away from the usual places like the hotel chains

Great service and location
Posted 10 May 2016After a small snafu locating the lobby (it's on the ground level next to the road not up any stairs/escalators). They do have one small spot for taxis to stop (we were told at another hotel that they couldn't stop at that hotel at all). Check in was a smooth process, and we were taken to our room. The hotel is located almost directly across the street from the ferry to Hong Kong Island. The room was large and spacious, we had our daughter with us and even though we had a crib in the room still had plenty of space for all our belongings. Service was amazing, we were dropped off at a nearby hotel as we were told Hullett House didn't have a spot for a taxi (which they do). They brought over our luggage from the other hotel and helped my husband find a nearby Starbuck's by personally escorting him over there. They have a Handy Phone in the room that you can take with you sight seeing that allows you to make international calls and will be a wifi hotspot for your personal use. If we ever visit Hong Kong again we will stay here again.

Excellent!
Posted 30 Dec 2015 on HotelsClassy and elegant hotel in an excellently preserved heritage building. I liked the vintage decor and design of the rooms. Patio is large and overlooks the beautiful courtyard of the building. Great for people viewing!
Excellent and very courteous staff who do everything possible to make your stay comfortable.
Restaurants are great too, and we loved the room service and quality of the food!
Wish we could have stayed longer!
