Yavapai may look dated on the outside, but our room had been refurbished and as modern as any hotel. The location was fantastic, just minutes away from everything at the Grand Canyon!

The beds and the room were fine. Nothing spectacular. But there was mold on the shower ceiling. For the price we paid to stay I could not believe there was mold.

Our room was nice and clean. It smelt slightly musty but not too bad. The location was great for the National park and buses. We didn’t eat breakfast there as had bought some Croissants at Walmart on Page but we did have dinner at the dining restaurant at this lodge on two nights and it was good. Not five star but really filling and tasted fine. Does feel a little conveyor belt-ish but we still would come again. Staff at the desk were not all that helpful.

We arrived at 3:30 am on June 2nd. We had an unexpected delay. When we arrived I was told that there was a maintenance issue with our room and that we could not stay at the lodge. They did have another room at a sister property 15 mins back the way we came. I asked why they did not contact me and the front desk person Said that they could only contact Expedia and not me. There has to be some sorry of mechanism in place to be able to reach a person about a room issue. I have average ratings for cleanliness , front desk etc. since it looks nice the little bit I saw. The young lady was very apologetic but I do feel like Expedia needs to get their act together. You don’t have a problem getting the reservation and money for the room. You should provide the customer service from start to finish. I know this will fall on deaf ears and nothing will be done to compensate me for the trouble. Is just the way the world has evolved. No more true customer service.
