The studio we stayed had signs of being broken into probably more than once. Inner entrance door not able to be locked from the outside as it had not been fixed from the break ins. Bathroom had no where to hang your towels or clothes. Walls are paper thin you can hear other guests.

Nowhere to park outside to sign in, very difficult carting luggage up steep hill to go to room

Parking was underground and there were many exterior stairs to access room. No milk was supplied to make tea and coffee and there wasn't daily housekeeping.

We booked last minute so it was understandable that we received the email for check in after we had already checked in advising the code etc. However, once the phone got connected with customer care, it was a smooth check in. Took few seconds only. Room was nice and clean , just some minor marks on walls . We are on the back side , front will pool facing seemed nicer. Our room was upstairs and there is no lift as it’s a double storey building, hence anyone with kids or elderly people or specially abled people should mention at the time of check in so that they can get ground floor rooms. Tram station is close by so it’s easy to commute. Surfers paradise is just at a walkable distance , hence good for tourists. Areas of improvement ( not complaints) for hotel : White / cold lights have been used in rooms and hence going for warmer theme would better for overall experience as we were tired and those lights were hurting our eyes. The bedside lamp is right in the middle on top of the headboard so obviously if only one person wants to used the other one would get affected. Garage seems to have never been washed, very dark and dingy , doesn’t feel safe if you are all by yourself. Corridor had a bit of smoke smell. Anko/ cheap products have been used in rooms , could be better considering the price being charged. But overall not bad for short stays.

Poor directions on access. You have to go through the underground car park to an unmarked door in order to get access to the rooms. Poor hours of front desk; 5 p.m. closingenda to the inconvenience factor. Attendant i spoke to 1st said he'd texte the instructions for site access but latwr emailwd them to me as texts weren't successful Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel/motel to anyone.

The staff prior to checking in were extremely difficult to deal with. Wouldnt allow my husband to check in even after me calling 3 times to give permission. Still made it difficult when they were given everything they requested. Also happened to get there 1 hour earlier than the 2pm checkin and they wanted to charge $15 per person even though the room was ready. Most places allow you to use the facilities or get into the room if it is ready. Motel was very old, however rooms were clean.
