sofia greeted us at check in and upgraded our room. it was beautiful but didn't have a double bed (there were 2 single beds pushed close to each other. i asked her if there was anything she could do and she moved us to another room with a double bed. better but it was noisy being on the first floor and the bed was terribly hard. she moved us AGAIN to yet another room. third time's a charm as this room was quiet, spacious and grand! thank you sophia for going way above and beyond to make us happy!!!

Very close to train station. A grand hotel but it needs to be remodeled. Lobby very dreary. Not enough light in rooms. Service was excellent.

AC was not working, front desk needed to turn it on, it worked only for two hours. Very hot room. The only mirror was in the bathroom, no windows at all, only a door to out side garden, that we could not leave open at night. Two very small beds. No box of tissues. We asked for some several times but none was available. 2 star hotel, definitely not 4!

A traditional Italian hotel. Lots of dark wood. Staff very friendly. Breakfast view of the Duomo is stunning. Fair buffet breakfast. Roof top terrace bar. Not quite enough staff. Brilliant shower, always loads of hot water. WiFi is virtually non existent. They know this and nothing is done. Weirdly our European adapter that we’ve used all over Europe wouldn’t fit, we bought another one. Great location. You are near everywhere. We arrived by train from Pisa and it’s an easy underground walk to the hotel. I’d probably stay there again.
