I always look forward to staying at this fabulous “palace”. No other word can describe this property. It has maintained the unique Arabic feel whereas all the new glamorous hotels try to outdo each other. The Palace doesn’t need to , it’s just perfect

Great location! There is a strange odor in the hotel rooms and it smells almost moldy/wet which ended up being the only thing we didn’t like. Our first room smelled very strong of it so we immediately moved. The second room smelled of smoke when we walked in (non smoking rooms but people smoke on their balconies and it blows back into the room they said) the third room was much better! After the first day the strange wet smell permeated it too. They use a lot of air fresheners so it makes me think they’re aware of it. Dubai is humid and this hotel is located by the fountains which may contribute to it but it was a negative for us. We were only staying 2 nights and leaving at 4am the 2nd night so we just dealt with it. The positives: The location is stellar. The staff was EXCELLENT especially Osama at check-in. We dined looking out at the Burg Khalifa and watching the fountain shows. The pool was excellent and well serviced. I got a follow up call regarding the room & was offered breakfast which shows their level of care! 5 star service and location but only 4 star rating because of the smell.

Great hotel and wonderful area. The only gripe is that the pillows are not comfortable and the room is too humid. I didn't receive any Vip benefits as well.
