Check in was smooth and the desk attendant (a gentleman) was professional and friendly. We were in town to bike and visit the town of Jim Thorpe. Upon entering the hotel does have a slightly musty smell. It’s by no fault of the staff though. Our room was clean, as was the bathroom.
This hotel could use upgrades from the owners. It is dated and could use new carpeting, etc. It comes with a continental breakfast which is a must for us. We aren’t big breakfast eaters but when traveling we like to eat before starting our day sight seeing. This one had your usual fare; eggs, and a meat. As well as the standard cereal, muffins and fruit. We’re avid travelers and are accustomed to the quality of a continental breakfast. This, just like the condition of the hotel, was no different. It’s as though the owners want to get by with the bare minimum.
All in all, if you’re looking for somewhere to lay your head and take a shower after a long day of biking(or whatever you’re preferred activity is), then this would be a good choice. Would I stay again, yes. Would I recommend, hesitantly yes.

Breakfast was ready early, which was wonderful as I was heading out before the posted breakfast time. It was unexpected and a happy discovery.
I basically just slept there. Sheets super comfy as well as the bed. Pillows were just right, not the overstuffed ones I usually find in hotels. Small fridge and coffee maker in the room were an added bonus. Staff was super nice. Hotel was very clean. Definitely will stay here again when I come back up I-81 and/or when visiting the casino in the area
