This was fourth or fifth stay at Renovo and I always love it! The staff are friendly and super helpful. I especially appreciated when the staff member who checked me in made sure to keep safe a box of LaCroix I'd accidentally left at the front desk. The only downside to this visit was that the bubbles on the jacuzzi weren't working. :)

We had a terrible check-in. We’ve stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times and upon arrival we were met with heavy sighs and an attitude of “you booked through EXPEDIA so it’s going to take a while to figure this out.” When asked for an upgrade due to our frequent stays, the answer was “no, because you booked through EXPEDIA.” When asked if my Hilton Honors could be applied? “No, because you booked through EXPEDIA.” We were given a terrible room on the first floor directly under a room with a graduation party going on all night. Clearly this property doesn’t appreciate or understand the benefits of booking/bundling through a third party site.

Thank you for responding, Gina. Unfortunately third party sites tend to place the restrictions on what we can and cannot do with reservations made through their systems. While they provide the facility great exposure on the internet they limit our ability to make changes to reservations. I apologize that this was a dissatisfier for your stay, and we would be happy to have you stay with us again in the future.

Nice place to stay for a few days in Des moines. Has a pool and workout facility. Rooms were great

Overall, the room was really nice. Bathroom was really nice and big. Would've liked to not have so many extremely bright lights everywhere in the bathroom (esp over the toilet), as getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, was too much light. It was also great having a king-sized bed, but the huge TV at the foot of the bed needed to be smaller and up higher. Would also be nice if the TV could've been rotatable at least--so it could be more comfortably watched from the sofa. Otherwise, myself and my friend who stayed in the room across the hall both really enjoyed our experience. We didn't opt to take advantage of the free breakfast, however--probably should have though. :-)
