The rooms were minimalist living, which i'm really ok with for the price. Nothing fancy. Grounds are beautiful. If your serious about diving though i would use another dive shop on the Island. I signed up twice to go to Gato Island and both times the dive was canceled because the minimum of 4 divers wasn't met.

Thank you Sir Scott for this review,First all we would like to applogize for this matter.We are surprised abou thhis review,since you were already aware that we need minimum of 4 divers for the trip to Gato island,and since Gato Island is a long distance diving trip,Tking 1 or 2 divers there is not enough to compensate the expense having a Big Private Boat.While you were here,you were also informed that we contactd another Diveshop to take an option unfortunately they don't have Gato Island trip on that time since the island is a bit quiet.Enjoy the rest of your Holiday .Mr.Scott

Stuff is very friendly and they have activities to do inside the resort. But room was too small and felt uncleaned although its just a condition of an old construction.

Hello Paula thank you, I will pass on your comments regarding our staff. The rooms are Budget rooms cheap. We certainly have nicer large rooms with AC hot water, over looking the pool, new bath room just been renovated if people want to upgrade.

Not impressed with the staffs attitude, very limited drinks available in fridge, slow service.. i did hear that managercut wages in half so could understand why staff didn't seem happy..

Very sorry to see your review. I do read there was no other aspect of the resort that upset you. So I take some comfort in this. Unfortunately there had been some impropriety in bar/restaurant. Action was taken even before you wrote your review. The people you refer to, no longer work for us. Not sure where you heard the wages were cut in half. but this is simply not true. As at the start of all low seasons there was a vote. Either cutting back on hours or let people go. The guys chose to reduce hours. So they go to 6 hour days instead of 8 hours. Standard practice on the island. Wish you had of come to me so I had a chance to put you mind at rest. Maybe next time. Regards

When checking in no one helped us with our bags. The lady working there didn’t seem to know anything or interested in helping. The room was really tiny, dirty, poorly lit, and mosquitos infested. No hot water. Tepid water pressure. The grounds are not maintained. So keep you expectations low and you will get through it. None of the guests seems happy. I noticed no one smiled. I checked out early and forfeited the money. The location is terrible also.

Sharks Tail was on par with expectations with the affordable pricing. The room was clean and bare bones. I did not swim in the pool nor eat on-premise so can't speak to those amenities. My one complaint is the crazy amount of noise. There was the local disco happening nearby from midday until late-night so there was thumping music and karaoke. There were also several roosters nearby and a cat fight in the morning, so I'd recommend packing earplugs as the walls are woven and don't provide much of a sound barrier. It was close to the market and near the ferry port, so good location.
